I am privileged to work in such a rewarding profession where I can help people not only improve their smile, but their self-esteem and confidence as well. It is extremely rewarding to go to work every day and be a part of so many peoples' lives. It is a treat for me to help so many wonderful and interesting people.

I attended the University of Toronto for dental school, graduating in 1998 and completed my Residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Centre. I then continued on to Boston University's Graduate Orthodontic Program, graduating in 2001.

One in three of our patients are adults so I have a keen interest in providing aesthetic options and regularly attend Invisalign training throughout the year.

My community is extremely important to me. Our office is continually raising funds for the Hospital for Sick Children through the Drs. Eckler and Black Fund which we set up in part because Mark had life-saving heart surgery at this hospital.

I married my high school sweetheart, Dr. Riva Black, who also graduated dental school with me and is now a Certified Oral Pathologist. We have four wonderful children who I love spending time with. I also enjoy the outdoors, playing hockey, biking, skiing and sailing.
